Office Hysteroscopy in Charleston, SC

Diagnostic and Treatment Support for Uterine Conditions

Hysteroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure that allows a provider to view the inside of the uterus using a thin, lighted instrument. At Charleston Women’s Wellness Center, this procedure may be used as part of gynecology services in Charleston, SC to help evaluate abnormal bleeding, uterine concerns, suspected fibroids, polyps, or other conditions affecting women’s health.

Depending on the patient’s needs, hysteroscopy may be performed as a diagnostic procedure or used as part of a treatment plan. It can also support procedures such as NovaSure endometrial ablation for heavy or abnormal uterine bleeding, or hysteroscopic myomectomy for select fibroid-related concerns.

When Hysteroscopy May Be Recommended

  • Evaluation of abnormal or heavy uterine bleeding
  • Investigation of postmenopausal bleeding
  • Assessment of suspected polyps, fibroids, or uterine abnormalities
  • Support for endometrial ablation planning or treatment
