Hysteroscopy is visualizing the inside of the uterus. It is done as a diagnostic procedure , but can also be used in treatment options like endometrial ablation or hysteroscopic myomectomy (removal of fibroids).
It can be done in the office or at the hospital.
Mild pain medicine is required before the procedure and then mild cramping occurs afterwards.
