Board-Certified Gynecologist
Dr. Paula Orr is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology, a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, and a member of the American Medical Association. She has served patients in the Charleston area for more than ten years and brings a strong background in gynecology, preventive medicine, and patient-centered care.
At Charleston Women's Wellness Center, Dr. Orr provides care connected to gynecology services in Charleston, SC, abnormal Pap smear management, abnormal uterine bleeding, preventive women's health, and wellness-focused treatment planning. Her approach combines conventional medical care with attention to each patient's long-term health goals.
Dr. Orr received her B.S. degree from Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC, completed post-baccalaureate studies at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI, and earned her Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1994. She completed her residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL, where she served as Chief Resident in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Her clinical interests include abnormal Pap smears, abnormal uterine bleeding, menopause and hormone care, preventive medicine, and alternatives that support whole-person wellness when appropriate. She opened Charleston Women's Wellness Center in 2000 to offer patients a different type of care than they may receive in a traditional GYN office.
